Job Description

Responsible for providing and maintaining organized and effective Environmental Services at all Children's locations while supporting the goals, mission, vision, and values of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Responsible for ensuring that all EVS operations are effective, efficient, and in compliance with all regulatory agencies. To proactively support the efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and to promote a safe environment at Children's.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-department management 7 years of experience in a service management or supervisory capacity 5 years of experience in service-related areas focusing on quality improvement and customer service excellence Must have expertise in one or more of the following disciplines, Environmental Services, Hospitality, Customer Service, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

Hospital or health care facility experience Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) preferred

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business management, retail or other related field

Job Responsibilities

Coordinates and manages the day-to-day operations of the EVS group at all Hospital locations, including Arthur M. Blank. Assists in development of and executes within the parameters set forth in the annual Facilities Services group. Leads the Managers and Supervisors across multiple shifts to ensure smooth 24/7/365 EVS operations for hospitals, including Arthur M. Blank. Ensures that department operations are effective, efficient, and delivered at the highest standard for quality. Manages the hospital environments to ensure appropriate regulatory compliance with all authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ), including but not limited to DOT, OSHA, CMMS, and TJC. Maintains a safe, comfortable, clean, and high-quality environment for patients, visitors, and staff at all hospital locations, including Arthur M. Blank. Partners with Quality and Infection Prevention to ensure the highest levels of safety. Coordinates with the NDH Master Plan Team, Brasfield & Gorrie and J.E. Dunn for building readiness and turnover at Arthur M. Blank Hospital. Maintains third-party cleaning and linen contracts at all hospitals, including Arthur M. Blank Hospital. Focuses on patient satisfaction scores and patient satisfaction initiatives. Develops and maintains system wide budgets for assigned departments.
