Responsible for assisting the Safety Managers in all job-site office related safety matters. Responsible for safety functions necessary to support Mastec Renewables at an assigned jobsite. Conduct site safety orientation, basic safety trainings, job safety analysis, workplace audits and incident responses as needed.
Location & Travel Details:You’ll get the opportunity to travel across the US, focusing on sustainability efforts and helping our teams build wind and solar infrastructure. We offer designated weekly subsistence in addition to base pay to support and help you cover living expenses and relocation assistance. Responsibilities Coordinate and present safety training to support Wanzek and client requirements, including planning, documentation, and presentation. This may include: New Hire Orientation, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Respiratory, etc. Provide Safety Leadership creating enthusiasm and participation among management and craft workers, resulting in excellent safety performance May assist with inputting and reviewing incident reports Assist in the execution of the jobsite safety plans Exposure to and an understanding of the lockout/tagout procedures in a safe manner Communicate with Wanzek management regarding safety matters Ensure safety documentation is complete and accurate as required by Wanzek and regulations Ensure PTPs, field audits, daily equipment inspections, SOPs and safety meetings are being conducted and entered into appropriate systems for tracking Develop and administer recognition systems with Safety Managers to promote safe and healthful work performance, . “Good Catch” Ensure sufficient supply of suitable inventory of PPE and safety equipment. Work with the Site Safety Lead to order more supplies as needed. May assist with pulling safety report information and putting together safety report detail documents for Safety Managers Complete drug screen collections as needed Understand and implement the site-specific emergency response plan Other duties as assigned QualificationsSafety Coordinator:
