Erie 2 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES (an educational organization serving multiple districts) is seeking a passionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for the upcoming 23/24 ESY program (Extended School Year) in Angola, NY. Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct care to students aged Kindergarten through 21 with special needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and ensure their implementation.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and student health, promptly reporting any concerns.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and other team members to provide holistic student support.
- Educate students and their families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents in a healthcare or school setting is a plus.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications are preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills are essential.
- You possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- A passion for providing high-quality care to individuals with special needs is a must.
Schedule:
- Dates: July 8, 2024 - August 16, 2024 (Monday-Friday)
- Hours: 30 hours/week (Full-time)
- Schedule: 8:15 am - 2:15 pm
