We are looking for a Bilingual Recovery Support Specialist for our Living Room Program who exemplifies that mission, and who wants to work for an organization that makes a difference. What will you be doing?

Provide crisis assistance in a safe, comfortable environment to guests who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Utilize personal or lived experience to develop rapport and engage guests, while also supporting guests with active use of positive coping skills. Support guests in developing crisis stabilization plans. Assist guests with resource identification and link guests to their preferred resources. Consult with Living Room team members and other Behavioral Health providers to identify and address guest concerns and coordinate services. Assist in the daily maintenance of the Living Room program facility and identify program needs. Complete documentation of mental health services provided in accordance with state and agency standards as applicable.

What will you bring to the table?

An RSS is an individual with personal lived experience in recovery from mental health and/or substance use challenges who has or is able to obtain the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credential within one year of date of hire. Flexibility with scheduling is required in order to address the needs of the population served, which may include days, evening, overnights, weekends, and/or holidays. The Living Room will expand to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Bachelor’s degree in human services (preferred) or a High School diploma with 1-2 years of experience working in the mental health field.
