About the role
Benefits is one of Rippling's largest and most important product categories, and the Benefits Operations team is critical to getting companies enrolled in the right benefits. The team manages tens of thousands of enrollments every year. 
Rippling is looking for an Operations Manager to help support our in-house EDI operations. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of EDI analysts working on new EDI feed set-ups and maintenance for our clients - 834 files and proprietary files -  and helping resolve and root-cause issues as they arise. 
This role will require significant engagement across insurance carriers, the EDI analyst team, customers, as well as a number of internal departments, and will have a major impact on the success of Rippling's Benefits platform.
What you will do
  • Mentor and lead a team of EDI analysts, provide guidance and support to ensure smooth handling of EDI feeds for our growing client base, throughout the whole end-to-end process: EDI feed configuration (carrier requirements gathering, file mapping), testing (error report handling and discrepancy resolution) and post production support 
  • Act as the primary point of contact with insurance carriers, customers, and brokers to resolve escalations and complex issues related to EDI transactions.
  • Design and revise documentation to set the team up for success
  • Contribute to new process definition and improvement of existing processes
What you will need
  • 5+ years of experience in a EDI file transmissions (834 files or proprietary files) and enrollment/member eligibility management, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience managing a team
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills: good attention to detail with excellent work product, time management, and execution
  • Strong research and process development skills
