Base Camp Lead

Duties & Responsibilities

● Assist Base Camp Lead with campsite operations including cleaning, stocking, and preparation for participants and customers

● Ensure work and customer areas are clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe

● Ensure facilities and equipment are left clean and in good repair by both participants and staff

● Power wash shower houses, sanitize, and stock with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.

● Help clean and maintain all facilities and camping equipment

● Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area

● Other duties as assigned by SBR leadership

● Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook

Qualifications & Training

● 18 years of age or older

● Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination

● Able to obtain SBR driving permit during orientation

● Be or become a registered member of Scouting America

Performance Results

● Attend shift work on a needed basis

● Participate in meetings with Manager for communication and preparedness

Physical Requirements

● Up to 8 hours a day of either standing, walking, driving, hiking, and the ability to lift 70 lbs.

● Can pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements HERE
