The Database Administrator II provides support and administration to installation database servers/systems. Database support includes monitoring database server performance, database system troubleshooting and repair, conducting backup operations of system and application databases and database servers, and the testing, implementation, and documentation of applicable DISA STIG settings on database systems.
Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:

Maintain customer / client accounts.
Monitor database server performance.
Backup database server.
Document applicable DISA STIG settings.

Material & Equipment Directly Used:

Standard office equipment and material.

Working Environment:

Normal office environment
May require support during periods of non-traditional working hours including nights or weekends.

Physical Activities:

Must be able to lift/push/pull 40 lbs. unassisted.

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement:

Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance.

Education / Certifications:

High School Diploma / GED
CompTIA Security+ CE Certification

Experience / Skills:

3+ years experience performing systems administrative duties in a large, complex computing environment.
Expert-level experience administering SQL Server databases.
