Travel Contract Certified Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Tech (Rochester, NY)
Duties:
- Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring sterile technique and proper equipment setup.
- Prepare and position patients for surgery, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Handle and maintain surgical instruments and supplies.
- Monitor patients during surgery and assist the surgical team as needed.
- Ensure accurate documentation of procedures and patient records in the electronic health records system.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with surgical equipment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CVOR Tech preferred.
- Proficiency in cardiovascular surgical procedures, including CT surgery.
- Experience with thoracic surgery is highly preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and electronic health records systems.
Requirements:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Cardiac experience required; must be competent in CT surgery, with thoracic experience preferred.
- Ability to be flexible with time schedule and location within the Rochester area.
- One weekend of call per month, on call during the week, and one late shift per week.
Compensation:
- Weekly stipend: $1,316.00 (non-taxable)
- Weekly pay rate: $1,368.00
- Total weekly compensation: $2,684.00

- Contract length: 13 weeks
