Job Description

We're seeking proactive and detail-oriented Recruiting Associates to join our team In this role, you'll be a key player supporting the staffing needs of our field canvassing operations to engage with voters and support Democratic candidates up-and-down the ballot.

Recruiting Associates work hand-in-hand with the office team under the direction of the Field Office Manager to identify / attract top talent for our field teams. Using our Applicant Tracking System, you will ensure a seamless candidate experience. Recruiting Associates are entrusted with developing local community talent networks, sourcing new applicants locally and digitally, maintaining the applicant database, ensuring accurate data entry, facilitating communications and interviews, and making hiring recommendations. You’ll collaborate directly with the Field Office Manager to build the office field staff and maximize operational capacity.

The ideal candidate is a team player, detail-oriented, excels at communicating effectively across diverse groups, and collaborates cross-functionally across teams. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a high level of organization will be key to your success. Candidates must be able to analyze recruiting metrics, adapt recruiting efforts based on data, and meet recruiting goals. Professionalism and a welcoming, friendly attitude is essential to set a positive first impression and generate enthusiasm with qualified applicants interested in joining At Scale.

Responsibilities

  • Review / screen incoming applications to identify qualified candidates for field positions
  • Conduct initial candidate assessments including phone interviews, to evaluate suitability for the role
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and office staff
  • Enter corresponding interview data into the Applicant Tracking System to streamline the recruitment process
  • Respond to candidate inquiries and provide timely updates on their application status
  • Collaborate with the Office Manager to understand staffing needs and provide recruitment support accordingly
  • Actively recruit by attending events, job fairs, and businesses to attract potential applicants to join our team
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the recruiting process and best practices for hiring field staff
  • Provide office and field support as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in recruitment, administrative, customer support, or related roles with similar responsibilities
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and data management is a plus
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with political organizing tools such as NGP VAN and MiniVAN
  • Commitment to progressive values
  • Must have a laptop and smartphone with data service
  • Must be able to work in an active field office environment with moderate physical activity (indoor / outdoor)
  • Must have valid driver's license and be able to drive staff / transport materials as needed
