Job Requirements:
High School GED or Diploma
Able to work Monday - Thursday/ 12hr Night shift 7pm-7am
Associate’s Degree from an accredited college preferred
Two years of work experience in a related industry
Mechanically inclined
Ability to read measuring tools
Must complete Safety Orientation, Departmental Safety Training and OSHA Standards Training
Work experience with computers and other business equipment
This position requires the annual completion of Hazardous Waste Management training – provided by ProAmpac
The Bag Machine Operator is responsible for troubleshooting, running and managing the machine that automatically measures, prints, cuts, folds, and glues, or seals to form bags.
Essential Duties and Tasks
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to assist the operator in each essential job function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made, upon request, to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Maintains the overall machine operationVerifies each scheduled production order prior to starting set-upOrders components based on shop order requirementsPerforms all machine set-ups and adjustments as requiredUnwraps, trims, and prepares rolls for shaftingMaintains adequate level of glue in pans, drums, or hot melt applicator hopperAdheres and maintains equipment to all GMP and SQF regulations at all times.Ability to multi-task as well as work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentYou should be proficient in:
