On-Call Audio Visual Technician

SUMMARY
This position performs Audio/Visual support in service to event productions, development events, museum programming and internal operations. Working under the supervision of the Audio/Visual manager, this position will work with other departments in the institution to address their AV needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Setup and breakdown of audio/visual equipment, ensuring spaces are kept neat and orderly to ensure visitor safety Operate a variety of audio/visual systems and devices including but not limited to sound systems, projection systems, video and sound recording equipment, mixing boards, microphones, speakers, projectors, video monitors and lighting Provision of technical support to outside presenters, and integration of their equipment and presentation needs within our facility Working knowledge of all the audio/visual gear and technology at the museum Additional duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of one year’s experience operating audio visual equipment for live presentations, lectures and performances Knowledge of basic computer presentation equipment (Keynote, PowerPoint, Photoshop) Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to solve technical problems, often under challenging time constraints and conditions Organized and able to manage assignment details Demonstrated ability to work well with the public, including outside presenters; good communication skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds short distances; move from place to place; bend, reach, twist, etc.APPLICATION DEADLINE

HOW TO APPLY
