Frost Brown Todd, a national law firm of 1000+ legal and business professionals in seventeen markets, is currently searching for an IP Paralegal to join the Intellectual Property practice group. This position will assist attorneys in all stages of patent and trademark law, including applications, registrations, renewals, maintenance, and inter partes proceedings.

Job Responsibilities include:

Preparing legal documents such as applications, registrations, renewals, notices, affidavits of use, Information Disclosure Statements, revocations, appointments, and declarations of use. Performing research, investigating facts, and analyzing law sources, and preparing cases accordingly. Filing legal documents with the USPTO and foreign registration offices electronically. Understanding and following established IP practice group procedures and record-keeping policies. Communicating directly with clients regarding patent and trademark matters. Utilizing CPi Docketing software and reviewing CPi-produced reports. Assisting attorneys in preparing for meetings, hearings or mediations. Reviewing or proofreading documents attorneys have prepared.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree with a major in paralegal studies. 3+ years of Intellectual Property Paralegal experience. A combination of trademark and patent experience is preferred, but not required. Prior experience with docketing software. Accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects with time constraints and interruptions. Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to work within established processes and procedures. Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook). Excellent client service skills, both with internal and external clients. Above average written and verbal communication skills.
