Hilton Head Hospital (HHH) is a 109-bed acute care hospital located at 25 Hospital Center Boulevard in Hilton Head Island, SC. Opened in 1974, HHH serves Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Okatie and surrounding counties through its care team of over 600 colleagues and over 100 physicians. THE INVENTORY TECH FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
1. Satisfactorily meets the Medical Center’s hospital-wide and department-specific competencies. 2. Satisfactorily meets initial and annual competencies for the Surgical Services Department. 3. Maintains working knowledge of inventory control system 4. Monitors inventory levels on a continual basis 5. Works with vendors as appropriate 6. Maintain accurate and complete documentation 7. Assists with orientation and training of personnel 8. Participates in Surgical Services process improvement projects 9. Works closely with other disciplines to provide safe, high quality patient care THE INVENTORY TECH CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE. Education: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Experience: ence as a surgical scrub tech preferred. Other Qualifications: t BLS (American Heart Association certification only) certificationThe Surgical Technologist is responsible for aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment, instrumentation and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases; scrubbing and passing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures; pulling cases as needed, breaking down cases at the end of the procedure, sets up operating room and supplies needed for day/following day’s schedule. Available for call on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education:
Required: Graduate of surgical technology program as required by state regulation of practice or policy.
Experience:
Preferred: 1 year experience as a surgical technologist.
Certifications:
Required: AHA BLS.
Preferred: Surgical Technologist Certification.
Texas : A health care facility may not employ a person to practice surgical technology unless they become certified within 180 days of employment or was employed to practice surgical technology before September 1, 2009.
