Position Overview: The Drywall Estimator will be instrumental in evaluating project requirements and preparing detailed cost estimates for drywall installation. This role demands a blend of industry expertise, precise estimation skills, and strong communication abilities to ensure that projects are accurately priced and managed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate Preparation: Analyze project plans and specifications to create accurate and detailed cost estimates for drywall installation projects.
  • Site Assessments: Perform site visits to measure areas, evaluate conditions, and identify any potential issues or additional needs.
  • Cost Analysis: Assess labor, material, and overhead costs to develop comprehensive estimates that ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and submit bid proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns, project timelines, and scope of work.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to clarify project requirements and address any discrepancies or issues.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of estimates, changes, and communications for accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest trends, materials, and pricing in the drywall industry to provide informed and up-to-date estimates.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in drywall estimating or a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record with commercial drywall or commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of drywall installation techniques, materials, and pricing.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
