This is a full-time internship position for our Spring Rotation, expected to start around January 8, 2024 through May 31, 2024 in Columbus Ohio.
The Data Science Intern will work with the Governance and Data Management team on AI/Data Science and/or Innovation use cases. The intern will also attend daily/weekly standups and showcase progress and successes to business and stakeholders in the areas of AI and Generative AI.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business partners and IT departments to understand company needs and develop possible solutionsKeep up to date with latest technology trends
Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers
Have strong foundations in software development and basis of computer science
Support implementation of new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis
Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design
Facilitate organization aspects of data and analytics symposium (Internal analytical community event)
Assist data scientists within the department with process and tools to build and monitor AI models
Support with software development activities

The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $20.00.
The hourly rate for Graduate students is $24.44.

Requirements:
Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application
Field of study: Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Proficient working knowledge of Python Proficient working knowledge of UNIX Proficient working knowledge Web Frameworks (HTML, CSS, React.JS, Django, etc.) Experience with UX/UI
