Job Overview:


As a Seasonal Snow Removal Wheel Loader Operator, you will operate heavy-duty wheel loaders to clear snow from parking lots, and other designated areas. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining safe and passable routes during snowstorms and extreme winter weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Operate wheel loaders in snow removal operations, ensuring thorough and efficient clearing of snow from various surfaces (roads, driveways, parking lots).
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist with the safe and efficient operation of snow removal equipment in challenging weather and visibility conditions.
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete snow removal tasks on time and according to schedule.
  • Monitor weather forecasts and prepare for changing conditions to ensure timely and effective snow removal.
  • Keep accurate records of hours worked, materials used, and locations serviced.
  • Perform any other related tasks as required by the supervisor.
Qualifications:


  • Proven experience operating heavy machinery, particularly wheel loaders (prior snow removal experience is a plus).
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and adapt to changing environments.
  • Knowledge of snow removal techniques and equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a Valid driver’s license. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.  
  • This is a on call 24/7 position based on weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks.
Preferred Skills:


  • Familiarity with winter weather conditions and their impact on transportation and infrastructure.
  • Experience operating a variety of snow removal equipment (plows, blowers, etc.).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
