Responsibilities*

The selected candidate will assist in the diagnosis and treatment of visual defects and oculomotor movement disorders by administering Orthoptic and diagnostic tests. They will teach patients how to develop and use binocular vision, instruct and direct patients during treatment and therapy. Additional duties include the operation and coordination of the maintenance of Orthoptic lanes within the pediatric ophthalmology clinic.

Required Qualifications*

Completion of an accredited training center program is required as well as Certification by the American Orthoptic Council.

We are looking for an individual with strong teamwork abilities, willingness to work in varied locations in and around Ann Arbor, MI, and able to promote our guiding principles to both patients and co-workers.

Desired Qualifications*

3 years of work experience as an orthoptist is preferred but not required. Previous experience using an EHR is highly desirable.
