Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Compensation:

$25 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily accounting operations by developing monthly projections and yearly budgets
  • Recommend changes that will enhance profitability by reviewing balance sheets, income statements, and expense accounts and ensuring their accuracy
  • Effectively monitor and track all accounts receivable, while also creating and controlling accounts payable invoicing
  • Verify general ledger accounts, investigate and correct account discrepancies, and review daily revenue activity list to ensure accountability
  • QuickBooks Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in QuickBooks Online to handle all aspects of financial transactions, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Month-end Closing: Assist in executing month-end closing procedures, including reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements
  • Expense Management: Monitor and control expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making
Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Superior customer service skills, math skills, relationship skills, and communication skills are preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required; degree in finance or related field preferred
  • QuickBooks Online Expertise: Proven experience and proficiency in QuickBooks Online is a must
  • Accounting Experience: Previous experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial principles
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a dynamic work environment
  • Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
