Your New Role: Senior Rail Logistics Coordinator
In this high-impact position, you'll:
- Work directly with railroads to schedule and release cars and shipments for pickup, ensuring seamless rail movements.
- Guarantee compliance with commodity weight regulations, protecting both the company and carriers from costly delays.
- Negotiate competitive rail rates for unit trains and manifest cars, covering our operations at eight U.S. facilities.
- Serve as the key liaison between EMR and carriers, managing communications related to demurrage, deviations, and process optimizations.
- Manage budgets for rail equipment, ordering additional manifest cars as needed to meet demand.
- Provide timely rail reports to shipping and receiving facilities.
- Approve rail bill requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze logistics data to predict deviations, and implement procedural changes that will boost efficiency and seize new opportunities for the company.
What’s in it for You?
- Competitive salary range of $75,000 to $95,000 per year, based on experience
- The ability to truly own the rail logistics process—you're not just another cog in the machine.
- Direct communication with decision-makers who value your insights and are ready to implement change based on your recommendations.
- A supportive and dynamic team environment where your contributions are acknowledged and rewarded.
Why You’ll Never Want to Leave
- At EMR, we put our employees in the driver’s seat when it comes to making an impact. You’ll have autonomy in managing our rail operations and the opportunity to shape processes that make a real difference.
- You won’t be micromanaged. We hire professionals who take ownership of their roles, and we trust them to deliver results.
