The Ranch of Opportunity is hiring for a Recreation Specialist. At the Ranch of Opportunity, we treat youth girls with trauma induced behavioral health issues. We work to untangle the damage trauma leaves behind, and replace it with practical coping strategies and a newfound sense of empowerment. We never stop imagining brighter, better days ahead for every young person we help.
The Recreation Specialist assists in planning, coordinating, and conducting activities and recreational groups. The Recreation Specialist will be responsible for overseeing activities for the Ranch of Opportunity. This person is responsible for ensuring a variety of activities are conducted to meet all the needs of the program, including but not limited to the following: exercise, games, craft/art activities, music, outdoor activities, and other activities.
Upon training completion, the work schedule for this position is normally 1 PM - 9 PM with work on the weekends being required. This position does require a Bachelor's degree, preferably in psychology, social services, or a related field.
The Recreation Specialist will write timely accurate individual and group notes that meet all billing and clinical requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in related field or 3 years’ experience in a residential setting or 5 years’ experience working with adolescents.

Hours: 1pm to 9pm Monday thru Friday and ever other weekend
