Propper Asset Management is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with experience in multifamily property maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, and general repair. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team, and dedicated to providing excellent customer service. This is a multi-site role, primarily based at our South County properties, with occasional support at other nearby locations. Familiarity with Yardi is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Perform hands-on repairs and general maintenance (fixing locks, windows, patching walls, repairing fixtures, etc.)
  • Conduct routine upkeep (landscaping, painting, carpentry)
  • Perform electrical system maintenance
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems for peak functionality
  • Complete work orders, ready tasks, and respond to on-call emergencies
  • Inspect and maintain fire alarms and other protection systems
  • Maintain and test pools, hot tubs, and spas in compliance with local and state regulations
  • Oversee refuse systems, trash removal, and manage special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, ideally in apartment or multifamily housing
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, plumbing, and aquatic systems
  • Skilled with tools, appliances, and general maintenance methods
  • CPO and HVAC/EPA Certification is preferred
  • Familiarity with Yardi is a plus

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-3 years of relevant maintenance experience (multifamily, hospitality, or similar fields)
  • Valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and automobile insurance (State of Missouri requirement)
  • Ability to respond to emergency calls within one hour when on-call
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 40 lbs.), climbing, balancing, kneeling, and working in varied temperatures.

SCHEDULE:

Full-time position with Monday through Saturday availability (weekends as needed, primarily scheduled in advance).
