The Controller Systems and Data operations (CSDO) is a team within Citi Controllers providing support across the global Controller organization for ledger and non-ledger operations, balance sheet reconciliation, Controllers Data initiatives and issue remediation, and Consent Order programs for Adjustment and EUC reduction.

The Controller Adjustment, EUC and Data initiatives team (AED) within CSDO is directly responsible for leading the Enterprise Adjustment Reduction Consent Order program (EARP), and the Controller EUC Remediation Consent Order program. The EARP team is singularly responsible for establishing the roadmap for and executing on adjustment reduction across Citi’s end-to-end data lifecycle, and for achieving committed CO targets. The team is the primary driver of adjustment reduction in key BCBS239 US regulatory and management reports, ensuring the reports are within a defined risk tolerance level aligned with Citi’s risk appetite. The team is responsible for capacity planning, definition and reporting of KPIs and metrics to drive transformation and measure progress against key CO deliverables. In addition, the team is the primary interface with global stakeholders including Global Regulatory Reporting, Citi Controller, Chief Data Office, Finance Transformation office, and Global and Business Technology.

The EUC team is similarly responsible for establishing the roadmap for and executing on EUC remediation for the Controllers’ EUC Book of Work. The team is the primary driver of EUC remediation focusing on critical, high and medium risk EUCs, supporting the Enterprise EUC CO commitments and targets. The team is responsible for EUC intake, solutioning, development and execution of remediation plans for the Controller EUC portfolio across the 5 main business segments. The team is the primary interface with global stakeholders including Citi segment Controllers, Finance Transformation office, Enterprise EUC program, and Global Functions Technology.

In addition, the AED team is responsible for key Controller Data initiatives, developing the data governance framework to ensure compliance with Citi’s Data Management policy, for remediation of key data issues impacting Controllers, for establishing and reporting on key data quality metrics, and for the Primary Business Information Owner (PBIO) and Data Owner roles supporting Controller-owned systems.

As a senior position within the CSDO team, the Controller AED lead will report directly to the head of CSDO, with a team of 100+ located primarily in Tampa, Costa Rica, Manila and Mumbai. The team will be responsible for driving projects related to the Consent Order, MRIAs, and Finance Transformation initiatives as they relate to processes owned and performed in CSDO. The team will be responsible for defining key controls, performing capacity planning, and defining key operational and organizational metrics for the defined programs and initiatives.

This role works with key stakeholders across Finance, Controllers, Data, CDO, Technology, Finance Transformation, and Office of CAO for Consent Order, as well as external consultants and other disciplines to ensure appropriate alignment and accountability of activities supporting these programs and initiatives. 

Key responsibilities include :

Leading the EARP and EUC programs including driving program delivery, performing root cause analysis and executing on adjustment remediation, and interfacing with technology on remediation solutions Establishing and reporting on key metrics to track progress of EARP/EUC programs against committed targets Representing the EARP and EUC programs in senior forums, steering committees, sponsor updates, and providing key regulatory updates Establishing the Controllers Data Governance framework to ensure compliance with the Citi Data Governance policy Driving remediation of key data quality issues impacting Controller-owned systems and processes Developing key data quality metrics to measure policy adherence, operational and organizational effectiveness. Defining standard model, guidelines, roles and responsibilities, and appropriate alignment of activities within the PBIO and Data owner roles Identify and lead digital transformation and automation opportunities Partner with key stakeholders across Citi Finance (Controllers, Global Regulatory Reporting, Data Management Operations, CDO, Technology, Finance Transformation, CAO) driving execution of Consent order and Data Initiatives Manage technology investment request process for Controllers

Qualifications:

Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Accounting or Systems– Master’s degree a plus Strong background in one or more areas of finance preferred 10+ years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, Business, Technology or related field in the Financial Services industry is required Process reengineering and change management with program/project management or PMO experience in using a structured methodology to successfully track, plan, monitor and report on concurrent, multiple projects Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products Basic understanding of multiple enterprise vendor ledger packages (, Oracle, SAP) CA, CPA, ACA, or CFA certifications a plus
