Job Summary and Qualifications- Maintains accurate documentation to ensure accountability and accurate, precise charging.
- Assess, plan, implement and document patient care needs including education, according to hospital and endoscopy policy procedures. Administers medication pre, intra, post procedure.
- Demonstrates a high level of technical and operational expertise in performing Endoscopy Procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of reprocessing endoscopes, accessories and automatic washers.
- Establishes a physical environment conducive to the delivery of safe and efficient patient care.
- Assumes responsibility/accountability for all coverage, weekly hours worked and assigned committee tasks.
- Assumes responsibility for professional development through continuing education and inservices.
- Anticipates and maintains adequate inventory of supplies and medications while controlling costs and eliminating waste.
- Demonstrates proficiency in hospital information systems to include Meditech.
- Required: 2 years of Med/Surg nursing
- Preferred: 2 years of Endoscopy experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
