What you will do:

The Field Service Specialist completes assigned tasks that may include maintenance, repair, service, trouble shooting and inspections for foam and foam hardware product lines at customer sites. Technician will plan, coordinate and support service activities and provide technical support for defined or undefined system problems to distributors or end users by telephone or onsite. Field Service technician’s day-to-day task is to provide delivery of inspection, testing, and maintenance services at the assigned field service location when required.​ Technician may also perform work on systems to include but not limited to site surveys, verifying proper installation, flow testing and written reports.​ Technician will ensure all aspects of the services delivered meet policies and procedures by providing inspection reports and witnessing or performing inspections at customer sites.​

How you will do it:

The Field Service Specialist may be called upon to resolve customer issues concerning inspection, testing, and maintenance on a regular basis.​ Responds to general questions; provides technical assistance, resolves issues around scheduling and project completion when applicable, informs manager of customer’s corrective actions resulting from inspection findings.​ Identifies and reports customer complaints and cultivates good customer and company working relationships.​

The Field Service Specialist is responsible to ensure that a high quality and safe delivery of inspection, testing, and maintenance services are performed on the customer’s location and follow up after services have been performed.​ The Field Service Specialist shall demonstrate and promote a commitment to field service quality and safety.​

The Field Service Specialist will provide monthly management reports including regular information on field service travel and/or site productivity and safety as requested by management.​

The Field Service Specialist will need to possess or have the ability to obtain a passport and be able to travel for periods of time to domestic and international destinations. A Field Service Specialist may be called upon to travel on short notice and should be aware that position may require extended periods of time on a customer’s site.

What we look for:

  • AS Degree in Technology or Engineering or equivalent background through education or related experience.
  • 3-5 years of fire protection field service-related experience
  • 5 years of inspection and/​or certification or equivalent technical experience
  • Ability to read and interpolate prints and schematic drawings.
  • Computer skills, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Ability to provide technical training to site personnel.
  • Ability to work on US Military Bases and or Marine vessels.
