Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nuclear Medicine Tech is responsible for performing all nuclear medicine procedures on in and out patients as ordered by the requesting clinician.

What you will do in this role:

  • Maintain daily schedule of patient exams.
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures according to protocols including administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Computer processing of patient studies to be read by cardiologist and/or radiologist.
  • Maintain established daily assignments, daily schedule, and QC on camera and other equipment.
  • Maintain database of patients, input of scheduling, and retrieving of statistical information from NMIS computer systems.
  • Participate in opportunities for patient care improvement.
  • Appropriate receipt and checking in of Radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Positioning and imaging of patients under Gamma camera.
  • Participate in department radiations safely through GM readings and wipes, as well as complying with regulatory issues.
  • Participate in patient assessment requirements and patient/family education efforts.
