To uphold the standards of a growing health care industry and our organizations mission of creating a healthier Hawaii, we have to ensure our finances are equally as healthy. Our accounting department provides the accounting services, expertise and financial support for the lines of business development and practices across Hawaii Pacific Health. The department performs general accounting functions (including but not limited to, cash and investment management, balance sheet management, inter-company accounting), internal and external financial reporting, Federal and State tax filing/reporting and other financial services areas (A/R, A/P, fixed assets, etc). In addition, it is of utmost importance that our team provides oversight and guidance to other internal departments ensuring compliance with legal/regulatory requirements and consistent application of policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of HPHs finances.
If you are financially disciplined, organized, meticulous, possess strong communication and technical skills plus would like to work in collaboration with others towards a mission that you believe in, you might be an ideal candidate for Director of Accounting. In this role you would report to the HPH Vice President/System Controller and oversee aspects of the general ledger for the HPH system, including cash and investment management, financial reporting and long-range planning. We are looking for someone with exceptional organizational instincts, planning skills and a talent for maintaining financial and internal accounting controls with and a commitment for serving the health needs of Hawaii.
Work Schedule: Day - 8 Hours

Bargaining Unit: Non-Bargaining
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Eight (8) years experience in public or private accounting with previous management experience, or five (5) years of management experience in public accounting. Valid driver's license and abstract. Current Hawaii auto insurance.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Business Administration. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
