Salary: Competitive + BenefitsOur client is at the forefront of the Automotive manufacturing sector and a leader in their filed is looking for a Senior Accountant to join a growing team on a permanent, full time basis.Responsibilities• Analyzes accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department.• Works with the VP, Finance on appropriate fiscal strategies for the organization• Reviews records of accounts to ensure accuracy• Develops systems for the maintenance of financial records, making use of current technologies• Creates forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel.• Prepares the monthly and quarterly reporting and closing• Leads annual audits• Assist KPMG in preparation of tax returns and tax calculations. Files Tax documents.• Handles credit card reconciliation, loans and interest, petty cash, and all banking• Leads Cash forecasting meetings• Create, report and manage files related to budgeting• Coordinates performance to budget status review with operations• Continuous improvement of operational processesRequirements• Five to eight years' experience in accounting and finance as a VP, Finance, Accounting Manager, or similar position in a manufacturing environment.• Experience with accounting software, both financial and manufacturing modules.• Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.• Thorough knowledge of all accounting and tax related legislation, regulations and reporting procedures.• Thorough understanding of all accounting functions particularly related to manufacturing and inventory control.• Must be productive in a team environment.• Proficiency in Excel, and Microsoft programs.• Working knowledge in Quickbooks, expert level preferred.• Available for occasional travel including International• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or a related field.• CPA/MBA desired but not mandatory.
