VP of Finance

Century Group is seeking a VP of Finance for our client in the Bay Area. The VP of Finance will play a pivotal role in providing financial leadership and strategic direction. Reporting to the CFO, this position offers a potential path to the CFO role within 3-5 years. It's an ideal opportunity for someone who combines private sector efficiency with a strong focus on nonprofit mission. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $150,000 to $180,000 per year.Responsibilities:Enhance and maintain financial systems. Collaborate with the CFO and senior finance directors on strategic, financial, and operational goals. Oversee consolidated financials and accounting data. Lead business model development, impact analysis, and sustainability modeling. Oversee policy development, accounting, reporting services, and governance. Develop and lead a high-performing finance team. Implement impact-focused financial systems, reports, analyses, and processes. Ensure operational excellence and reliability in accounting functions. Requirements: Strong commitment to the organization's mission and principles. Ability to blend accounting skills with strategic financial perspectives. Advanced knowledge of financial ERP systems. Experience in multi-entity environments. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and change management skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit emotional intelligence. Experience: 10+ years in nonprofit finance management, leadership, or related fields. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; CPA preferred.
