This opportunity offers long-term stability with full benefits and the chance to work with a respected team in the logistics and cargo handling industryDirect Hire Opportunity: Heavy Equipment MechanicLocation: Baltimore, MDSalary: $30-38/hr (based on experience)Considering applying for this job Do not delay, scroll down and make your application as soon as possible to avoid missing out.What You’ll DoPlay a vital role in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of heavy machinery including forklifts, bulldozers, front loaders, and backhoes—to support efficient day-to-day operationsPerform scheduled maintenance (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements) to ensure peak performanceTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system issuesUse diagnostic software and tools to evaluate and pinpoint equipment malfunctionsRebuild, replace, or upgrade faulty components as neededConduct safety checks to meet operational standards and regulatory complianceMaintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logsQualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 4 years' experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment in industrial, transportation, port, or logistics environmentsAt least 2 years’ experience with diesel engine replacementAt least 7 years’ of forklift repair experienceMust have your own toolsStrong working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systemsExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentStrong time management, multitasking, and teamwork skillsBenefits Package IncludedDirect hire placement with long-term growth potential401K mathShort Term D insuranceHealth and Vision insuranceFitness reimbursement Employee Assistance Program and Wellness FairTuition Reimbursement Paid time off (PTO) and holidaysWork with a reliable, supportive, and safety-focused team
