These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.?We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.Job DescriptionTeledyne Storm Microwave, a leading manufacturer of R/F Microwave cable assemblies, is searching for a Design Engineer for a full-time position at our Woodridge, IL facility.Responsibilities:Perform engineering and testing activities related to the development and manufacture of 50-ohm microwave harnessesCreate and review technical drawings, including customer-provided specifications and documentationDesign assemblies, components, and connectors to meet performance and reliability standards.Enter and maintain bills of materials and routings within the systemConduct testing, perform calculations, analyze data, and document resultsDevelop clear and detailed assembly instructions, as well as design assembly and test fixtures.Communicate effectively with customers, sales representatives, and internal stakeholders to define and clarify technical requirementsPrepare technical reports and documentation to support engineering decisions and project milestonesRequirements:Engineering degree from 4-year program required - BSME (Mechanical Engineering) preferredFive or more years' experience with microwave or RF products is necessaryExperience with 50-ohm coax cables, connectors is a plusExperience creating 3D models of components and assemblies in CADMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Excel and WordMust be willing and able to come to work at our Woodridge facility five days a weekDue to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).Teledyne is proud to offer a generous benefits package that supports employees' health and financial wellbeing.
