As a **Security Officer - Patrol - Transportation Facility** in **Brooklyn, NY** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. **What You'll Do:**

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.

+ Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or suspicious persons to the appropriate authorities.

+ Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials as required, and helping to maintain order within the premises.

+ Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address questions and/or concerns related to security-related matters.

+ Complete required reports and documentation accurately and promptly as part of daily duties.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.

+ Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack are preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
