Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. This role involves providing weekly financial reporting to the bank and ensuring accurate journal entries in TGI-ERP. Additionally, you will support ad hoc projects as needed.

Responsibilities

+ Reconcile account balances and bank statements.

+ Maintain the general ledger and prepare month-end close procedures.

+ Provide financial reporting to the bank 1-2 times per week.

+ Ensure accurate journal entries in TGI-ERP.

+ Utilize Excel pivot tables and filters to manage financial data.

+ Tweak trial balance files exported from ERP, especially for new GL codes.

+ Support ad hoc projects as required.

+ Log in for 1-2 hours on weekends, every other week, to ensure continuity of work.

Essential Skills

+ 5-10+ years of accounting experience.

+ Proficiency in cost accounting, reconciliation, and general accounting principles.

+ Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and filters.

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

+ Ability to work independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.

Work Environment

+ This is a 4+ month contract position aimed at cleaning up accounting work. The team has been behind due to underperformance in previous roles. You will join a team consisting of a Controller, one Accounts Payable, one Accounts Receivable, one Billing, and one Purchasing Manager. Standard operating procedures are in place to aid in training.

This is a Contract position based out of Pine Brook, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
