The Role
The Nudj Fitness Specialist is a key member of the Nudj lifestyle management team and is responsible for assigning and modifying exercise and functional fitness activities to promote behavioral change and improve the physical health of patients. Under the supervision of the Cardiometabolic Program Supervisor, the Fitness Specialist will work with patients on specific treatment pathways to motivate and nudge them to reach their identified goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Screen and assess the functional mobility of patients to determine if patient is appropriate for the fitness pathway and to what capacity, utilizing metric-based assessments.
- Assign appropriately and modify the exercise program and progressive walking program for individual patients based on their goals, needs, progress and continuous assessments. Adjust treatment plans and exercise prescriptions for patients with pain, injury or mobility limitations. Patients will be followed virtually.
- Responsible for maintaining all aspects of case management, including ensuring compliance and program prescription is being followed.
- Document and track patient progress, treatment recommendations, and clinical outcomes in EHR and other required systems.
- Facilitate and lead group fitness classes (educational and movement based).
- Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings and caseload reviews as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Exercise Physiologist (Preferred)
- Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS)
- Certified Sports Nutrition Coach (CSNC-NASM)
- Physical Therapist
- Physical Therapist Assistant
- Certified Yoga or Pilates Instructor
- CPR/AED certified
Additional Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team setting, yet also able to work independently.
- Innate ability to provide compassionate support and empathy to each patient and bring forth concerns without judgement or gossip
- Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong team-centric focus
- Computer savvy - Experience with EMR or EHR systems and not afraid of new technologies
- Experience with older and/or culturally diverse populations is a plus
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus

Pay: $56, $64,000.00 per year
