Empire State Appraisals is a leading staff appraisal company dedicated to delivering high-quality appraisal services to our clients. We're seeking an experienced Chief Appraiser to oversee the operations of our panel of appraisers and ensure the excellence of our appraisal reports.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a seasoned appraisal professional to lead our team of appraisers and drive the delivery of exceptional appraisal services. As Chief Appraiser, you'll be responsible for overseeing the operations of our panel of appraisers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and driving quality and efficiency in our appraisal processes.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage: Oversee the operations of our panel of appraisers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality appraisal reports.

- Quality control: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies, implementing quality control measures to drive excellence in appraisal reports.

- Appraiser management: Recruit, train, and manage appraisers, ensuring they meet company standards and requirements.

- Client relationships: Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering exceptional service.

- Industry expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and best practices, applying knowledge to improve appraisal processes and services.

- Strategic planning: Contribute to the development of strategic plans, goals, and objectives, aligning with company priorities.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in appraisal, with significant experience in a leadership or management role.

• Certifications: Certified Residential or General Appraiser license required; SRA or AI-RRS certification preferred.

- Skills:

• Strong leadership and management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions

• Strong knowledge of appraisal standards, regulations, and industry best practices

• Experience with appraisal management software and technology

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., real estate, finance, business) preferred.
