We are looking for a skilled Deployment Engineer with expertise in Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform. The Deployment Engineer will lead Google Workspace implementation projects and provide technical expertise in Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform. This role requires subject matter expertise to participate in sales calls and scope new projects. Your primary focus will be on the planning, execution, and post-deployment support of Google Workspace migrations and configurations. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless transitions and optimal utilization of Google Workspace tools.
Responsibilities:
Google Workspace Deployment & Migration:
- Plan and execute Google Workspace deployments and migrations, including data migration from various platforms (e.g., Office 365, Exchange, IMAP, etc).
- Configure and optimize Google Workspace services, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Meet, Chat, and related applications.
- Manage user provisioning, account setup, and organizational unit (OU) structure within the Google Admin console.
- Implement and configure email routing, domain verification, and DNS settings.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of deployed solutions to ensure functionality and data integrity.
- Maintain detailed deployment documentation.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Google Workspace features, updates, and best practices.
Sales Engineering
- Serve as the technical expert on Google Workspace during sales and client success calls.
- Participate in sales calls to address technical questions, provide product demonstrations, and explain Google Workspace capabilities to potential clients.
- Collaborate with sales and client success to define project scope, identify technical requirements, and develop implementation plans for Google Workspace deployments and migrations.
- Design customized Google Workspace solutions that meet the specific needs and requirements of clients.
- Provide technical guidance and support to sales and client success teams throughout the sales and onboarding process.
- Clearly communicate technical concepts and solutions to clients in a way that is easy to understand.
- Recognize opportunities to expand Google Workspace adoption and usage within client organizations.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Google Workspace features, updates, and best practices.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support during and after deployment, resolving issues related to Google Workspace functionality and data migration.
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with Google Support as needed to resolve escalated issues.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Google Workspace features, updates, and best practices.
Client Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Conduct training sessions for clients on the Google Workspace Admin Console.
- Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure successful project delivery.
Automation & Optimization:
- Develop and implement scripts and automation tools to streamline deployment processes.
- Work with Google Workspace APIs to automate tasks.
- Identify and implement best practices for Google Workspace configuration and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Associate Google Workspace Administrator Certification
- Professional Google Cloud Certification
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Google Workspace deployment and migration.
- Strong understanding of Google Workspace services and the Google Admin console.
- Proven ability to manage complex Google Workspace deployments and migrations.
- Strong knowledge of DNS, email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP), and networking concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is a plus.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $85,000 and $92,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
