Mployer Advisor is the fastest-growing data and analytics platform helping brokers and their clients make smarter, more informed employee benefits decisions. We are expanding our Analytics team and seeking a sharp, detail-oriented professional to turn complex carrier claims and financial data into clear, actionable, and visually compelling insights for our clients.

As a
Financial Data Analyst
, you will play a critical role in producing our flagship financial dashboards. Your work will directly influence renewal and strategy decisions for employers across the country.

What You'll Do

  • Ingest, reconcile, and thoroughly clean raw claims, enrollment, pharmacy rebate, stop-loss, and financial data files from multiple insurance carriers and TPAs.
  • Perform detailed quality assurance (QA) on all data inputs to ensure 100% accuracy of every dollar, member count, and adjustment before dashboard production begins.
  • Build, update, and maintain high-precision financial performance dashboards using advanced Excel models and Power Query.
  • Develop and refine automated templates, validation checks, and data transformation processes to dramatically improve speed, consistency, and scalability of dashboard production.
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to continuously enhance dashboard design and output quality.
  • Own the full back-end production lifecycle—from raw carrier file to final, error-free dashboard—while meeting aggressive daily and monthly deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Who You Are

  • 3–7+ years of hands-on experience in group employee benefits (broker, consultancy, or insurance carrier).
  • Prior medical underwriting, claims analytics, or renewal rating experience is required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are a must (complex formulas, Power Query, dynamic named ranges, etc.).
  • Highly analytical and numbers-driven, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining perfect accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Bonus Points For

  • Familiarity with stop-loss reporting, pharmacy rebate files, and carrier data layouts (Cigna, UHC, Aetna, CVS/Caremark, etc.)
  • SQL or basic scripting ability
  • Actuarial exams or coursework
  • Previous experience building or supporting client-facing dashboards
