As the 501(c)3 nonprofit workforce development and education affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers, the MI is a trusted adviser to manufacturers, equipping them with resources necessary to solve the industry's toughest challenges.  Position Overview:  The Manufacturing Institute (MI) is seeking a Senior Manager, Partnerships and Philanthropy, which is an integral part of the MI team as we seek to grow solutions and programs to support the manufacturing industry's evolving needs and challenges. A successful candidate will be joining a team of entrepreneurial problem-solvers managing projects and programs designed to attract and prepare the manufacturing workforce. The work of the Partnerships and Philanthropy team is growing and evolving, and the successful candidate has an opportunity to build and manage strong systems and processes to support the Institute's work. This individual will work with both internal and external stakeholders to manage partnership deliverables and necessary operational functions of the MI's partnerships and philanthropy team. This position will also lead and manage sponsorship-related fundraising, including overseeing sponsor outreach, deliverables fulfillment, and stewardship efforts. The Sr. Manager, Partnerships and Philanthropy, is responsible for supporting and assisting with operational processes and systems necessary to sustain all aspects of the Institute's fundraising activities. The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, experience working in nonprofit fundraising, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder relationships with precision and professionalism. Join the MI Team and Make an Impact in the Following Ways: Works at the direction of the AVP, Partnerships and Philanthropy, and collaborates with MI program teams to manage partnership deliverables.Assists the AVP, Partnerships and Philanthropy on partnership outreach and donor prospect research, interacting with external stakeholders, as related to defined projects.Responsible for organizing and regularly tracking all partnership deliverables, including grant reports, sponsorship commitments, and stewardship reports.Manages and executes sponsorship-related fundraising initiatives, including tracking deliverables, coordinating sponsor benefits, and ensuring timely reporting and communication with sponsors.Collaborates with various internal and adjacent departments as well as external partners to ensure alignment on MI activities and deliverables execution.Provides administrative and operational support functions including but not limited to: email and project and partnership schedule management, data entry, project management, grant systems tracking and reporting, financial functions (i.e., invoicing and records management), stewardship reports, and proposal development.Approaches these tasks with a creative and innovative mindset to support the team's partner-first approach.Assists as needed with MI operations related to conferences, roundtables, and other forums and meetings with stakeholders both onsite and offsite to further MI and program development goals. Event support may require travel and working evening hours/weekends with advance notice.  This description is representative of the position and is not intended to limit or preclude other responsibilities and tasks that may be associated with or added to the position.  Supervisory Responsibilities: None We are looking for Ambitious Candidates who meet the Following Criteria: Associate's degree or four-year degree preferred.A minimum of four years of related experience working in nonprofit development, philanthropy, and/or partnerships required.Previous fundraising experience required; sponsorship management experience strongly preferred.Strong project management skills required.Team-oriented and customer service focused with the ability to interact regularly with staff, executives, and other stakeholders.Prior association experience preferred.Familiarity with Salesforce and Asana preferred.Proficiency in MS Office programs and SharePoint required.Must be well organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work well under pressure and manage workload to meet deadlines.Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, performing multiple tasks using various software applications.Strong editing and proofreading skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent writing and research skills.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Salary & Benefits$86,000 - $92,000 annually. This salary range represents a good faith estimate of the lowest to the highest salary for this position.
