Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in a designated territory. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in outside sales, account management, and business development. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing a team of sales representatives, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives within the assigned territory.
  • Manage and mentor a team of sales representatives, providing guidance on best practices in outside sales and account management.
  • Identify new business opportunities through lead generation, cold calling, and networking within the B2B sector.
  • Conduct product demos and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the benefits of our technology solutions.
  • Utilize CRM software, including Salesforce, to track sales activities, manage customer relationships, and analyze sales data for informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns that drive engagement and increase market share.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for upselling and territory expansion.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in outside sales, with a focus on B2B technology sales preferred.
  • Strong management skills with experience in leading sales teams towards achieving targets.
  • Excellent negotiation abilities and customer service orientation.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and analysis tools for tracking performance metrics.
  • Ability to conduct effective product demonstrations and engage clients through direct sales techniques.
  • Experience in territory management with a proven track record of successful lead generation strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market conditions and develop actionable insights for growth.
