About The Role:

As a CAD Designer, you'll bring innovative designs to life by creating detailed 2D and 3D models under the guidance of experienced professionals. You'll play a crucial role in transforming hand sketches and preliminary layouts into comprehensive engineering drawing packages, while also mentoring junior staff and ensuring project accuracy and efficiency.

• CAD Drafting: Perform CAD drafting of engineering designs and preparation of final engineering plans.
• CAD Expertise: Serve as the resident CAD expert for the team with the ability to provide training and guidance to employees and CAD users.
• Production Management: Manage the production process to include research and completing the technical design tasks, resulting in high-quality deliverables to internal and external clients.
• Construction Document Preparation: Assist in preparing construction documents for public and/or private public works infrastructure projects (i.e., street, highway, drainage, water, and sanitary sewer improvements) from conceptual design to final design, under the direction and supervision of a professional engineer.
• Communication and Relationships: Establish good communication and working relationships with team members and clients.

About You:

• You have a High School diploma/GED
• You have an Associate's or technical degree, a plus, or a combination of education and experience
• You have a minimum of 4 years of experience in CAD drafting or related work
• You have extensive knowledge of CAD software
• You have effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing), using the English language
• You have fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
• You have AutoCAD Civil 3D and Basic ArcGIS experience, a plus
