Consultants regularly contribute to proposal development. Consultants are expected to be growing in their understanding of project management (to include financial management) and business development support (e.g., business capture efforts).
What You'll Do

- Develop and manage the production of high-quality client-facing deliverables
- Support the design, coordination, and logistics of external and internal meetings; apply active listening skills and contribute to knowledge capture during meetings
- Facilitate client meetings to achieve identified, desired outcomes
- Develop meaningful and trusted professional relationships with clients; serve as the point of contact for one or more clients in a lane or project
- Participate in business development and networking opportunities
- Contribute to proposal development (writing and coordination)
- Support and/or lead research, data gathering, and analysis to inform the development of client solutions; synthesize and present results clearly
- Showcase critical thinking skills to evaluate needs, make recommendations, and partner with team members to refine thinking and approaches to client challenges
- Onboard, train, and develop junior team members
Requirements
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance (or have had one within the past two years)
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of professional work experience, preferably in management consulting or another professional service or client-facing environment
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites in the surrounding DC and Baltimore metro areas; occasional travel outside of these regions could be expected (5%)
- Critical thinking/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organization and time-management skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable mindset to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, high-stakes client environments
- Desired skills, experiences, and certifications: change management, strategic planning, strategic communication, program management, and/or organizational design experience; PMP and/or Change Management certification (ex.: Prosci)
