The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) is Atlanta's trusted source for news, storytelling, and innovation. Our Branded Content Studio within AJC Ads creates custom content that connects brands with audiences across digital, social, and multimedia platforms.
Position Overview
We're seeking a Creative Production Manager to join our Branded Content Studio. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of creative production for branded content campaigns. This role leads all aspects of production planning and execution for branded content campaigns, from pre-production through post-production. and production expertise with creative project management, leading the execution of branded content campaigns from concept to delivery. You'll be the operational leader—ensuring every shoot, edit, and asset aligns with creative vision, client goals, and production timelines. You'll work closely with internal teams, clients, and external vendors to deliver projects on time, on budget, and aligned with the creative vision and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end production management for branded content projects (video, photo, digital, social).
Ensure integration and consistency of produced content with local, regional, and enterprise Ad Sales campaigns.
Develop and lead production schedules, timelines, and itineraries.
Lead shoot logistics including locations, permits, equipment, and talent.
Manage production budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost efficiency.
Serve as primary point of contact for clients during production phases.
Collaborate with creative, editorial, and sales teams to align on project goals.
Lead post-production workflows including editing, approvals, and delivery.
Ensure all content meets brand standards, legal requirements, and publishing specs.
Maintain organized documentation and reporting for all projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year experience in a related field; or 10 years' experience in a related field.
1+ year of experience in management or leadership type role
Strong project management skills with a proven ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
Experience coordinating shoots and managing crews, vendors, and talent.
Familiarity with digital and social media platforms and content formats.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and budgeting abilities.
Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Airtable, Monday) and production software a plus.
Bonus Points
Background in branded content or agency/studio production.
Experience working with media publishers or news organizations.
Creative problem-solver with a passion for storytelling and audience engagement
