Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to oversee operations, contract execution, and project management within the
insulation or coatings industry
. This role is responsible for ensuring profitability, productivity, and compliance across multiple capital and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and administrative support for project and contract execution.
  • Manage P&L to drive profitability and increase margins.
  • Support contract negotiations and ensure best practices on terms and conditions.
  • Oversee project productivity through site reviews, operating rhythms, and performance tracking.
  • Lead bid and contract review processes, including risk and opportunity assessments.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while reducing labor, material, and administrative costs.
  • Manage delay and change orders, earned value, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed estimates, bids, and quote packages using drawings, specifications, and site walk-throughs.
  • Ensure quality assurance and documentation standards are met for all projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support bids, proposals, and project execution.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to address concerns proactively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant field and industry experience (construction services, manufacturing, petrochemical, refinery, power).
  • Military leadership experience is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with contract execution and P&L management.
  • Proven operational/field expertise in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project cost control, scheduling, estimating, change management, risk management, and progress reporting.
  • Experience with business analysis and information systems management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, and Visio (intermediate to advanced level).
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including internationally (50% or more).
