Position Overview
The Sr. Tax Manager will oversee the tax compliance and planning functions for our clients, ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax returns while providing strategic tax advice to optimize tax positions. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of tax professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review the preparation of federal and state tax returns including 1040, 1120, and 1120S forms.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies and planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities for clients.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of tax staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Conduct research on tax issues and provide solutions to complex tax problems.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and legislation, staying up-to-date with changes in tax law.
  • Coordinate with auditors and tax authorities during audits and inquiries.
  • Prepare and present tax-related reports to senior management and clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation, including individual and corporate tax regulations.
  • Proven experience with tax return preparation and compliance for various entities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
