Job Summary And Qualifications
The Product Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of Expanse and collaborate closely with the Expanse team and various business partners. This role involves working across teams to support Expanse product development, mapping, data visualization, workflow efficiency, and business needs related to Expanse product implementation. The Product Manager will oversee Product Leads or Analysts, manage project coordination, address issue escalations, and ensure successful product implementation and operational continuity. As a key member of the Product team, this manager will contribute to knowledge-sharing, process improvement, and identifying synergies within the program. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, have a passion for change, and a strong focus on continuous process improvement.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manage Product Leads and Analysts; Work to help develop formal and informal leaders and ensure coverage is in place across the team. Ensure team is supported in addition to managing the work in partnership with shared service teams.
- Provide regular updates to the Senior Director and project management team on project status, product challenges, team progress, and potential barriers.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to align on strategies, planning, and address implementation challenges related to Expanse.
- Coordinate efforts across various business lines to ensure a unified, strategic approach to project deliverables.
- Support business needs by addressing issues arising and providing solutions.
- Timely escalation of concerns that may affect successful product go-live, end user impact or financial impacts with thorough detail and resolution strategies.
- Facilitate and actively participate in team and project meetings
- Deliver detailed reports as well as executive summaries as needed for key stakeholders and internal teams
- Propose recommendations and process improvements to ensure project success and efficiency
- Occasional travel may be required to support business initiatives

*Knowledge, Skills, Abilities*
- Strong experience in people management is highly preferred.
- Background in Meditech Expanse and in the surgical / procedural areas is preferred.
- Background in product management is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of business process improvement, workflow design, and process evaluation.
- Ability to effectively navigate and collaborate within highly matrixed organizations.
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Expertise in orchestrating and delivering on strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, organize, and make informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
- Proven track record of removing obstacles and enabling teams to meet objectives.
- Ability to maintain focus and composure under pressure.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of experience in managing a team and partnering with peer leaders preferred
- 5+ years of experience in working healthcare, IT, people management required
- 1+ year(s) of experience in Meditech Expanse or like EMR solution preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
