Position Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Engineer to join our onsite team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in performance testing, monitoring, and analysis using tools such as LoadRunner, Performance Center, AppDynamics, and Splunk. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring applications meet scalability, stability, and performance requirements through thorough testing and tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for enterprise applications.
  • Utilize LoadRunner and Performance Center to create, execute, and manage test scripts and scenarios.
  • Monitor application performance using AppDynamics, identify bottlenecks, and analyze performance metrics.
  • Use Splunk for log analysis and root cause identification of performance issues.
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to optimize system performance.
  • Prepare detailed performance test reports, including metrics, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Conduct baseline testing and compare results across releases to ensure consistent application performance.
  • Support performance tuning and capacity planning activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Performance Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in LoadRunner (Scripting, Scenario creation, Analysis).
  • Experience working with Performance Center for enterprise-level testing.
  • Solid understanding and experience with AppDynamics for APM monitoring and performance diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in Splunk for analyzing logs, metrics, and performance insights.
  • Good understanding of system architecture, APIs, databases, and web technologies.
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to cloud-based performance testing (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience in CI/CD performance testing integration.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, or JavaScript) for automation.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
