Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist

Location: Toms River, NJ

Schedule: Full-Time | On-site

We're looking for a hands-on Continuous Improvement Specialist to help optimize our manufacturing operations by improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost. If you're passionate about lean practices, problem-solving, and driving meaningful results, this role is for you

What You'll Do

  • Lead and facilitate CI projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, etc.
  • Analyze processes to eliminate waste, reduce downtime, and improve quality.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, operators, and engineers to implement improvements.
  • Develop and update SOPs, work instructions, and visual standards.
  • Train and coach employees on CI tools and problem-solving techniques.
  • Track and analyze metrics (cycle time, scrap, downtime, OEE).
  • Support cost reduction, workflow optimization, and inventory improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in deploying new tools, technology, and process solutions.
  • Ensure projects align with company goals and customer requirements.

Requirements:

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Technology, or related field

    (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years in manufacturing or industrial environment

    (injection molding, machining, or assembly preferred)
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and facilitation across all levels
  • CAD or process mapping experience a plus

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred, not required)

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
