Job Description Summary
As a Sr Staff Infrastructure Architect, you'll be responsible for setting the architecture standards for cloud and designing multiple projects as the technical expert. You will be responsible for collaborating on the design for the cloud migration of applications and pillar applications in the Technology & Operations (T&O) organization. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions to support and enable real-time monitoring of production infrastructure and cloud environments. Collaborate with Product and Execution teams to ensure alignment on operational support requirements for Cloud PaaS/IaaS solutions. Provides senior-level expertise to assist teams in troubleshooting and resolving incidents as needed.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead multiple infrastructure and cloud architecture initiatives as a technical expert, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and optimization of solutions that align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Drive and manage highly complex projects that demand advanced expertise in two or more specialized areas of architecture. Collaborate across diverse technical and functional domains to deliver innovative and scalable solutions that meet business needs and technical requirements.
- Manage request handling for cloud operations, stabilize and enhance support for critical applications, and act as a key escalation point for infrastructure operational issues and inquiries.
- Manage and oversee Access Management processes, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and maintaining user access controls to ensure compliance with organizational policies and security standards.
- Address audit requirements by preparing documentation, responding to audit inquiries, and ensuring access management practices align with regulatory and compliance standards.
- Evaluate exceptions to infrastructure architecture standards at the domain level and provides strategic recommendations to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and best practices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in infrastructure architecture and cloud-native services, offering guidance and expertise to support the development and implementation of robust, scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill audit needs, resolve access-related issues, and implement improvements to enhance security and efficiency.
- Engages in technical and business discussions within the domain to shape the future direction of infrastructure architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and strategic business goals.
- Develop technical standards, maintain accessible and up-to-date standard work documentation.
- Identify risks, technical challenges, and gaps, and create actionable mitigation plans to address them effectively.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis of defects and implement controls to prevent recurring issues.
- Ensure adherence to security policies, CMMC, and SoX compliance processes, maintaining alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Build strong relationships across peers, cross-functional teams, and GE Aero businesses to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness.
- Leverage and expand knowledge of current and emerging technologies to develop innovative solutions that address organizational needs.
- Develop, document, and continuously review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all operational processes to ensure alignment with current needs and practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR associate's degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Cloud Technologies
- Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

- Good understanding of CMMC and SOX compliance requirements and their impact on product and infrastructure decisions.
- Good influencing skills with stakeholders, drive the dialogue and handle tough conversations in challenging situations.
- Strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions
- Demonstrated customer focus – manages technical issues in complex, difficult, or stressful situations; evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint.
- Strong experience in Cloud technologies (e.g. AWS / Azure).
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines where uptime is critical.
- Proven experience working in environments with on-shore and off-shore multi-national team members.
Additional Information For US Candidates
- The base pay range for this position is $127,900-$213,200 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on November 22nd, 2025.
