Job DescriptionAECOM is actively seeking a self-driven and motivated Senior Project Manager with Bridge Engineering experience to serve as a design manager on alternative delivery projects in NY/NJ metro area offices. This role can be based out of New York City or Albany, NY. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career with experience in Transportation Structures in the New York Metro market, especially with New York State Department of Transportation. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of a range of projects for both public and private sector clients. The transportation business in New York is made up of professional technical experts in the bridges, highways, ports & marine, airports, rail and planning disciplines.
Some of the responsibilities include:
Directs and manages the entire project, guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
Accountable for all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout.
Position has primary fiscal responsibility and key liaison between client for assigned project.
QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BS Civil Engineering or similar field + 10 years of related project management experience on large-scale, high-profile, design build structures projects.
NYS DOT Experience
Professional Engineer License in New York State.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
20 Years related experience
Experience leading Structural design components on alternative delivery projects
Previous leadership and management experience
Experience with NYDOT and similar projects
Experience in successfully managing structural projects
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Familiarity with local Bridge Design Guidelines, Specifications and Technical Standards
Experience in participating in multi-disciplinary engineering projects, with ability to manage and coordinate supporting design inputs: drainage, roadway, lighting, aesthetics, etc
