Product Program Specialist

Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas (GSSWT) is headquartered in San Antonio, TX and serves more than 15,000 Girl Scouts (girls and adults) across 21 counties in southwest Texas. The Product Program Specialist supports all aspects of the council's fall product and cookie programs, collaborating with product program volunteers and staff in the development and delivery of the premier entrepreneurial and financial literacy program for girls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports the development and implementation of the annual plan for the council's fall product and cookie programs in compliance with GSUSA and council policies regarding the Girl Scout product program.
• Provides administrative support to the Product Program department, including data entry in product program vendor systems, maintenance of annual product program records, and department mail, telephone and email correspondence.
• Accepts and processes product program payments and paperwork.
• Coordinates logistics and prepares materials for product program volunteer meetings and trainings.
• Supports the management of product delivery, council booth sales, and program incentives.
• Recruits volunteers for council cookie warehouse.
• Ensures and provides quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Assists with sales, stock, and inventory of council retail stores.
• Maintains volunteer system database by entering case management information accurately and timely.
• Performs additional duties as assigned in support of the council's mission and goals.

Licensure/Membership Requirements: The employee is required to maintain membership with Girl Scouts of the United States of America throughout the duration of their employment with GSSWT.

• Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
• Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Computer Skills: Must be proficient with computer and Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Outlook, and Word).
