This position is based in our Houston, TX office located in the Galleria Office Tower 1 at 2700 Post Oak Blvd.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr. IT Auditor will join the independent internal audit function at NuScale. This role will assist with the execution of the SOX testing program and other internal audits as needed. They will further the reputation of the internal audit function as a strategic partner on compliance, issue identification, and remediation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver high quality work and build relationships across the organization.
  • Support all phases of SOX, operational, and compliance audits, including risk assessment, planning, scoping, execution, and reporting.
  • Review technology processes, applications, and infrastructure and identify and document related risks, which is then used to plan and scope key processes and controls for testing.
  • Collaborate with process owners to ensure proper documentation of policies and procedures applicable to key IT processes.
  • Assist in performing risk assessments and provide updates as changes in the operating environment occur.
  • Perform walkthroughs with IT stakeholders to assist with process documentation, including process workflows.
  • Ensure IT SOX documentation is kept current for scoping, testing, and remediation activities.
  • Perform IT SOX testing, including key reports testing, preparing test scripts, and documenting the tests of controls over in-scope operating systems, databases, applications, and networks.
  • Identify control deficiencies, develop remediation plans, and monitor remediation progress.
  • Interface with, and assist, outside auditors to expedite their work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:

  • Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is required. CISA or similar IT/IS certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of full-time information systems auditing experience or directly relevant experience testing SOX compliance is required. Prior "Big Four" experience is required. Prior work with Oracle Fusion ERP is preferred.
  • Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Pay and Benefits:

The target pay range for this position is $99,175 - $119,694 annually.The full pay range is $88,915 - $139,073.
